What We Believe

The familiar acronym, TULIP,  will give a fundamental meaning  of this truth:

Total Depravity

(Romans 5:12)  Death passed upon all of us.  (Ephesians 2:3)  We are born again by the will of God.

(John 1:13)  God appoints a time for people to believe.  (Acts 13:48, Ephesians 1:1-11, Romans 8:29, Romans 9:9-23)

Unconditional Election

God chooses us, we do not choose Him.  It is nothing we do or have done.  (Romans 9: 15,21)

Limited Atonement

Jesus died only for the elect.  Jesus died for the ones He was given.  (John 10:11, 15)

Irresistible Grace

(John 6:44)  We are brought by God to the realization that we are saved.

(John 6:37)  “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me;  and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”

Perseverance of Christ for His Saints

You can not lose your salvation.  Because the Father has elected, the Son has redeemed and the Holy Spirit has applied salvation, those saved are eternally secure.  (John 10 :27-28, John 6:47, Romans 8:1, I Corinthians 16:13, Philippians 1:6).
